Originally commissioned in 2010 by the agency Iris Worldwide on behalf of Sony Playstation to promote the game Singstar, The Arena is a Tensile Structure built by Architen and Spacial Installations. It consists of three articulated 40ft trailers that can be easily transported to and from events. The trailer is designed with a dedicated stage, an artists' green room, and a tech room for a sound and lighting engineer. Another trailer is set up as a full length bar, to reduce queuing time and serve more people quickly. The entire venue is covered with a canopy roof to keep festival-goers dry and create a more immersive experience with lighting and special effects.

The Arena made its inaugural appearance at Glastonbury in 2010 as Cocktails and Dreams, travelling to various events and festivals for the next two years. In 2013, it was converted by Spacial Installations to create a new festival venue called Temple Island, which ran from 2014 to 2016 at Bestival.

In 2020, Equalizer Productions purchased The Arena and re-designed and modernized the venue to create a multi-use space that can travel around the country. The Arena is now a blank canvas with plenty of space to add your own branding and make the venue an integral part of your event. It can be set up in multiple ways, and additional features can be added such as a VIP area, stage extensions, and event catering, making it a versatile and adaptable venue for any event space.
